“Hall of Mirrors”, Kunstetage Dock 4, Kassel, 1998
Four circular mirrors have been treated with acid to make their surfaces dull. The reflections one sees are rather blurry and they only capture vague silhouettes. The ceiling has been completely covered with two rows of fluorescent light bulbs. The room is extremely bright, which additionally emphasizes the absurdity of the situation. Despite all those lights, one nevertheless has no chance to see oneself in the mirrors.
